Generator 

 

 

Generator Special Notes

 

  

If your houseboat breaks anchor 

and/or  drifts  sideways onto  a 
beach,  the generator must be 
shut down immediately to 
prevent  the cooling system  from 
being fouled  with  sand and  silt. 
This  can  cause  overheating 
and disable your generator. 

  

Below deck generators are 

equipped  with coolant (lake 
water) strainers. Do not open 
this unit. 

 
 

The  12-volt  house  system  includes 

a l l   b o a t   lighting,  navigational  lights,  water 
pumps,  the  horn,  VHF  Radio, bilge pumps, 
CO detectors and helm power. 

 

Charging

 

  

Start the Generator  following 

Generator Starting  Procedures. 

  

Turn  on  the  breaker  for  the  inverter 
on the AC panel.  This will charge the 
inverter battery.  

  

Turn on the breaker for battery 
charger.  This will charge the engine. 

  

Charging  is  most  efficient  with 

unnecessary DC breakers off.
