Field of application:
The TZU 22-01 helps to adjust terrestrial TV- and Radio antennas. If the device
is used for other purposes, no warranty is given!
Display and control elements:
Installation and power supply:
Before installation make sure, that all devices are cut-off from mains!
Furthermore be carefull to connect the two devices (antenna and receiver)
to the equivalent marked connectors of the DVB-T Finder.
With a battery or an external power supply (1):
The TZU 22-01 can either be operated a) with a PP3 (9 volt) battery or b) with
an external 5-12V DC power supply with 3,5 mm jack plug (battery and power
supply not included in delivery).
Remote power fed from a DVB-T receiver (2):
The TZU 22-01 can also be remote power fed from a DVB-T/T2 receiver (in case
the receiver can supply 5V).
The TZU 22-01 must be positioned between antenna and DVB-T/T2 receiver.
If necessary, switch on the remote supply voltage for the antenna in the
receiver menu (observe the operating instructions of the receiver).
With power inserter (3):
If an active antenna (with amplifier) is used, it must be supplied by an external
power supply unit via a power inserter (for safety reasons, the TZU 22-01 does
not have a DC feed-through, so the antenna cannot be fed remotely from the
receiver while the TZU 22-01 is connected).
Connect the power inserter between the TZU 22-01 and the antenna.
Adjustment of the antenna:
Turn on the power:
When using the TZU 22-01 shown in example (1) via battery or with
separate power supply, switch the unit „ON”, the red LED lights up.
When using the TZU 22-01 shown in example (2 or 3) activate first the
5V voltage supply of your receiver (observe its manual).
In the example (3), additionaly switch on the remote supply voltage of
the antenna.
Adjustment
Rotate the antenna slowly and horizontally around your mast or fixation.
Carefully watch at the green LEDs of the TZU 22-01. The more LEDs light
up, the better the reception.
After this you should also adjust the vertical position as long as you
receive its best reception level.
After the adjustment finally fix the antenna firmly to the mast and
remove the TZU 22-01. Connect the DVB-T/T2 receiver with the antenna
and start the search function of the receiver.

Level indicator:
The displayed level depends on the signal level and the set
attenuation. Therefore, the signal tester cannot indicate absolute values in
dBµV.
