Product description:
The start-up kit with accessories for CMTS 2-00 is used to test and start-up a
CMTS 2-00.
Test:
For testing the CMTS, up to four cable modems can be connected directly to
the output of the CZU 3-00 (QEW 4-06). To do this, first set the adjustable
attenuator TZU 4-01 to a medium attenuation.
If necessary, reduce or increase the level until the modems are pairing with the
CMTS.
Start-up:
For connection to the house distribution, the attenuation must be adjusted to
the existing distribution network.
If necessary, remove the two adjustable attenuator TZU 4-01 and connect the
output of the diplexer BZU 65-85 directly to the QEW 4-06.

Equipotential bonding and Mounting:
To avoid dangerous overvoltages (attention: risk of fire/death), the devices
must be connected to the equipotential bonding according to EN 60728-11.
Use the equipotential bonding connection of the mounting plate.
To connect the outer conductor of the coaxial cable to the equipotential
bonding, use the earthing angle at the input and output.
Mount the mounting plate on a flat surface.
RF installation:
Switch off all devices.
Connect the CMTS 2-00 to the QEW 5-50 according to the illustration on
the right. And connect the cable modems CMO 1-01 or CMO 2-01 to the
QEW-4-00.
Use the SAK 151-00 Quickfix cables supplied with the kit.
If you need longer cables, use highly shielded coaxial cable with
F-connector plugs.
