Device Redundancy (with MIS 1-11)

3.8.1.

Requirements

∂

A valid license (MIS 1-11) must be installed for the

backup device

(see 3.7 on page 45).

∂

For device redundancy, two devices of the same type with identical configuration are a must. The easiest
way to get an identical configuration is to save the configuration data of the primary device and load it
into the backup device.



Under MAINTENANCE > SAVE
INITIALIZATION DATA TO FILE, click SAVE.



Save the Config.dat on your computer.



backup device



Select MAINTENANCE > UPLOAD SYSTEM
INITILIZATION DATA FROM FILE and select
the previously saved Config.dat



Click on UPLOAD.
The configuration is copied to the

backup

device

Configuring Device Redundancy

Device redundancy is configured on the backup device.



Click MAINTENANCE > DEVICE REDUNDANCY.
