Setting up and operation
Your CAL63 guitar is supplied with a guitar lead with a 6.3mm jack on each end
Plug one end into the guitar jack socket and the other end into the guitar input on the amplifier (1)
The guitar amplifier is supplied with IEC lead(s) for connecting to the mains
Connect the IEC at the rear of the amplifier and the mains plug to an appropriate mains outlet
Turn Gain (2) and Master volume (4) fully down with the Drive switch (3) in the out position (Clean)
Set Treble and Bass controls (5, 6) to the 12 o’clock position (pointing upward)
Switch the power on (8) and turn Gain (2) up halfway
Play the guitar with volume and tone controls turned fully up and gradually increase Master volume
Experiment with higher and lower Gain settings compared with Master volume settings
The tone of the guitar can be changed by adjusting the Bass and Treble controls (5, 6)
Pressing in the Drive switch (3) will give overdrive or distortion to the guitar signal
Adjusting the Gain control will vary the amount of this effect
If silent practice is preferred, plug headphones in via the 6.3mm socket, which will mute the speaker
After use, turn down Master volume and switch off power. Unplug from mains when not in use for long periods
