8.0 Maintenance and Servicing
Designed to be largely maintenance free the AV-HL-FL light requires minimal attention,
though the following maintenance and servicing information is provided to help ensure the
life of your Avlite product.
•
Inspect the light fixture for evidence of dust or water penetration. Repair gaskets or
conduit entries as required.
AV-HL-FL-UM & AV-HL-FL-DC Only:
•
Inspect the light fixture and junction boxes for evidence of dust or water penetration.
Repair gaskets or conduit entries as required.
•
Inspect control wiring for failing insulation, open conductors or other wiring flaws and
repair as required.
•
Clean the lens as required
AV-HL-FL-PV only:
•
Inspect the light fixture for evidence of dust or water penetration. Repair gaskets or
conduit entries as required.
•
Cleaning Solar Panels-Occasional cleaning of solar panels may be required. Using a
cloth and warm soapy water, wipe off any foreign mater before rinsing the panels with
fresh water.
•
Battery Check-Inspection of batteries should be performed annually to ensure that
the charger, battery and ancillary electronics are functioning correctly. Using a voltage
meter, check that the correct battery voltage is at least 12 volts under 100mA load for
the AV-HL-FL-PV and ensure all terminals are clear of foreign matter.
