Basic WebGate Settings
In this section (see the figure in Opening the Configuration Window – Page 62) you
can set the basic WebGate parameters.
Configuration
file
Default is /etc/avwebgate.conf
Temporary
Directory
You can change the name of the temporary directory. The default is
/tmp
. This
directory stores for example, the files during scanning.
HTTP Port This entry sets the port, on which WebGate communicates for HTTP connections
with the Client computer or the proxy server. It may need various settings,
depending on the configuration.
The corresponding parameter is
HTTPPort
in
avwebgate.conf
.
Allow HTTPS
tunnel
Here you can enable an HTTPS protocol. The data tunneled through this
connection is
not scanned by Webgate.
FTP Port
ICAP Port
These entries set the ports for FTP and ICAP protocol. The changes are saved in
avwebgate.conf .
