t h e t r a n s m i t t e r c a s e . The r e c e i v e r c h a r g i n g c o r d may be
c o n n e c t e d t o t h e b a t t e r i e s two d i f f e r e n t ways:The c h a r g e
c o r d may be c o n n e c t e d d i r e c t l y t o t h e b a t t e r y p a c k , o r t o
t h e v a c a n t c h a r g e c o n n e c t o r ( H a c k ) coming from t h e o n / o f f
s w i t c h i n t h e model. C h a r g i n g " t h r o u g h t h e s w i t c h ' i s p r e f e r r e d
as t h e r e w i l l be no need d i s c o n n e c t t h e b a t t e r y .

P l u g t h e A/C w a l l c h a r g e r i n t o a w a l l o u t l e t . N o t e : I f t h e w a l l o u t l e t c a n be t u r n e d
o f f by a s w i t c h i n t h e romm, be c e r t a i n t h e s w i t c h r e m a i n s on a f t e r l e a v i n g t h e room.
O t h e r w i s e , t h e b a t t e r i e s w i l l n o t b e c h a r g e d !
3. The L E D s ( 1 i g h t - e m i t t i n g d i o d e s ) s h o u l d l i g h t r e d , i n d i c a t i n g t h a t c u r r e n t i s f l o w i n g
and t h e b a t t e r i e s a r e b e i n g c h a r g e d . D i s c h a r g e d b a t t e r i e s w i l l t a k e a b o u t 15 h o u r s t o
f u l l y c h a r g e . I f u s i n g an a f t e r m a r k e t f a s t c h a r g e r , b e c e r t a i n t o f o l l o w t h e m a n u f a c t u r e r ' s
i n s t r u c t i o n s p r o v i d e d w i t h t h e c h a r g e r so you do n o t o v e r c h a r g e t h e b a t t e r i e s . N E V E R
c h a r g e t h e b a t t e r i e s a t a r a t e h i g h e r t h a n 1000mA.The b a t t e r i e s s h o u l d a l s o be d i s c h a r g e d

w i l l " r e m e m b e r * ' a n d e v e n t u a l l y " t h i n k " t h e y c a n s u p p l y o n l y enougt power f o r two f i g h t s .
A f t e r two f l i g h t s t h e b a t t e r i e s may n o t p r o v i d e enough power t o o p e r a t e t h e s y s t e m ,
t h u s c a u s i n g a c r a s h . To e r a s e any p o t e n t i a l m e m o r y , c y c l e t h e b a t t e r i e s by d i s c h a r g i n g ,
t h e n c h a r g i n g them w i t h a c o m m e r c i a l b a t t e r y c y c l e r , o r l e a v e t h e s y s t e m on a n d e x e r c i s e
t h e s e r v o s by moving t h e t r a n s m i t t e r s t i c k s u n t i l t h e e v e n d u r i n g t h e w i n t e r o r p e r i o d s
o f l o n g s t o r a g e . I f u s i n g a c y c l e r w i t h a r e a d o u t , n o t e t h e c a j p a c i t y a f t e r t h e b a t t e r i e s
have b e e n c y c l e d . I f t h e r e i s a n o t i c e a b l e drop i n c a p a c i t y t h e b a t t e r i e s s h o u l d be
r e p l a c e d .

5. 3Range Testing Your R / C System ^
Please note that d i f f e r e n t systems demonstrate d i f f e r e n t range checks and the same system w i l l
range check d i f f e r e n t l y i n d i f f e r e n t conditions. Also,the r e c e i v e r antenna's i n s t a l l a t i o n a f f e c t s
the range t e s t — e x i t i n g the top of the model i s i d e a l . This i s a b r i e f explanation of range t e s t .

Test one-engine/motor o f f , minimum of 1 0 0 f t . range:
. Have a f r i e n d view the model but not hold i t , engine o f f . (People conduct s i g n a l s , t o o ! )
.Walk away from the model,working a l l c o n t r o l s c o n s t a n t l y . S t o p when the servos j i t t e r
s i g n i f i c a n t l y ( a j i t t e r here and there i s n o r m a l ), c o n t r o l movement stops(PCM),or you lose
c o n t r o l a l t o g e t h e r .
.Measure the d i s t a n c e . I f greater than 1 0 0 f e e t , great!Proceed to Test 2. Less than 1 0 0 feet of
range check means you need more information to determine i f your system i s safe to f l y . Please
