Fault indication at the control device

The control device in Marex OS II system is the MPC. For each propulsion system one MPC must be installed.
As essential indication and operating elements the MPC provides:
display 2 x 20 characters
button „Escape“
button „Select“
For operation the cover has to be opened in case of the variants "MPC cabinet" and "MPC plus".
An error is signaled by means of a flashing "E" in the display of the faulty control system.
The following user entries are possible:
button „Select“
ROTATE
Depending on the rotation direction of the button “Select” you can move up and down
the menu or increase or decrease a parameter value.
PRESS
By pressing the button “Select” on there are the following possibilities depending on
the selected line:

access the next lower menu level
<xxx>
go into change mode, where xxx can be modified
yyy
store the modified value yyy
<ESC>
access the next higher menu level
button „Escape“
ESC
PRESS
By pressing the button “Escape” the next higher menu level is accessed or the
modification of a parameter is abandoned. The parameter remains unchanged then.
