6.2.1
Operating on inclined terrain
Extra caution is needed when using the equipment on inclined terrains and slopes. Drive slowly especially on
inclined, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and avoid sudden changes in speed or direction. Operate the controls
of the loader with careful and smooth movements. Watch out for ditches, holes on the ground, and other
obstacles, as hitting an obstacle may cause the loader to tip over.
Maximum lifting capacity can not be achieved on inclined terrain. On horizontally tilted terrain the load must
not be lifted high. The loader frame articulation should be kept straight when lifting heavy loads; turning the
load during lifting operation will affect the stability of the loader and may lead to overturning of the machine.
6.2.2
Operation with the tilt adapter
The attachment is not intended to be used with the tilting adapter fitted in between the attachment and the
quick coupling plate of the loader. The attachment must be coupled directly to the quick coupling plate of the
loader.
6.3
Adjusting dispensing rate
The conveyor speed and material distribution rate
are adjusted by the loader engine RPM.
When silage is pushed out form the bucket, spring
loaded hatch prevents too much of silage to be
ejected at once. The hatch also evens out amount
of dispensed feed.
6.4
Filling the bucket
The bucket can be filled from a silage mixer/feeder machine, from a silo, or from a pile like a normal bucket.
Keep the bucket on the ground or just off the ground and close to the loader when filling from third party
equipment.
Correct working method is important when lifting material from a pile, as lifting material from a pile requires the
most power from the loader. Especially when using a bucket with a long base, the correct working method
should be observed for the best performance of the equipment. Use high engine rpm and read the instructions
how to operate the loader correctly from the operator’s manual of the loader.
Filling a bucket by pushing towards a pile of heavy material and then trying to lift or tilt the bucket is not
possible with any loader type. The loading is most effective when only the tip of the bucket is pushed into the
pile, and then, by simultaneous driving, lifting and tilting the equipment, material is cut into the bucket.
Lifting silage from a pile may have to be made in several smaller increments. Use the tines at the front of the
bucket to tear and pull smaller portions from a pile. Do not use speed to drive into a pile and operate with
correct technique rather than only with force.
Do not operate the dispenser while loading the bucket. The bucket and distributing
system can get damaged.
