4. Before placing food in the juicer, please make sure all foods are thoroughly washed and
cleaned, cut all foods to an appropriate size to easily fit into the food chute. Please remove
any hard seeds before juicing.
5. For the most part, when placing food into the Slow Juicer, the auger will pull in the food and
start juicing immediately. You will need the included pusher with some foods.
6. The Slow Juicer has a unique simple cleaning process when switching between different
flavors of juices and fruits. When you are ready, simply pour water through the food chute.
This will rinse out most of the residue and you are ready to keep juicing.
NOTE: This is not an alternative to a complete cleaning of each disassembled part.
7. As shown below,
the Food Chute edge must point to “close” sign on the base in order for
the machine to operate.
WARNING: Make sure all parts are securely in place before operation. Do not operate
without food.
Tips
1) Start off with low-fibre fruits and vegetables first. So carrots, melon, berries and other less
stringy ingredients should go through the juicer before celery, sweet potato, and others.
2) Avoid juicing fruits with low water content. Bananas and avocados are the two main fruits that
are pretty dense and very low in water content. They can clog up your machine and most of the
fruit is wasted because it goes straight to the pulp. If you really want to have these fruits in your
juices then blend them first and then add other juice to them.
3) Chop up your large ingredients, such as apples, so that they easily fall down the chute. This
will make the process a lot easier.
4) Run your juice through the juicer a second time for a smooth, pulp-free juice. Of course,
having pulp or not is a matter of personal taste, and having some pulp in your juice is actually
healthy and helps boost your fibre intake.
5) Don’t worry about balling up or clumping leafy ingredients. Unlike old-fashioned juicers, which
require a degree of pressure on the fruit & veggies in order to make sure they will be chopped up
by the blade, a slow juicer only requires you to simply feed in your ingredients.
6) Clean your juicer in between fruits and vegetables. Simply add some water to the juicer to
quickly clean it in between ingredients so the machine doesn’t clog up.
7) Make sure you feed in the ingredients at a slow pace, allowing each piece time to become
