When using electrical products, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the
risk of fire, electrical shock and injury to persons; including the following:
1. The AVA Byte is powered by a 100-240 VAC input, 12VDC output power adapter;
provided with the unit. To prevent electrical shock or fire: DO NOT connect the power
adapter to an input voltage outside of the specification; and DO NOT use a non AVA
Technologies Inc. approved power adapter/source.
2. Wet locations and conditions will increase the risk of electrical shock when using electric
powered equipment. To prevent electrical shock, never use the AVA Byte in wet locations.
This product is intended for indoor use.
3. Do not look directly into the LED lights of the AVA Byte light panel. Long duration and
close -proximity exposure may cause harm to the eye.
4. The AVA Byte should always be placed on a firm, flat, waterproof surface, and out of
reach of children and pets.
5. DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical, light or mechanical functions on the
AVA Byte. Doing so may endanger you and will void your warranty.

Other storage and moving tips:
1. Store the device in a dark and dry place.
2. Always unplug the product from the electrical socket before storing it or if you plan to not
use it for extended periods of time.
3. Use the original packaging of your product for storage. If you haven’t retained the original
packaging of the product, use a soft blanket to wrap the product for storage purposes. Do
not use any material which could cause scratches to the plastic pieces or camera lens on the
product.
4. If you live in areas which are prone to high humidity, place pouches or baggies of silica gel
around the product.
5. It is always best to store the gardening device vertically. This is also true while moving the
product in a vehicle as it prevents the plastic parts from flexing and cracking.
6. Make sure the gardening device is secure and does not have a chance of rocking or tipping
over and falling. Not only can this damage the device, but also causes its stand to lose
orientation and stability.
