To
arm
the Starter Kill in Active Mode, press the Lock button on the Transmitter. In Passive Mode, the Starter Kill will
automatically be armed after the programmed arming delay.
Note
If Mode 1, Function 3, Option 4 is selected, the Ground
out, Ignition and Accessories outputs will be triggered
ON
and
OFF
before the system locks the Doors.
If Mode 3, Function 5, Option 4 is also selected, the
pulse will be sent only when a door is sensed open.
Caution!
When installing the Starter Kill, it is
extremely
important
to wire pin 86 to Ignition, and not to jump it
to pin 30 (this would result in damage to the vehicle).
Installation of the Starter Kill circuit requires an
external relay.
(Not included!)
Priority Door Access
(Mode 3, Function 3 or Function 4
– both
AUX 1
and
AUX 2
can be programmed for Priority Door Access.) This great
feature allows the user to
UNLOCK
solely the driver’s Door with a single press of the
UNLOCK
button on the Transmitter,
and to
UNLOCK
the other Doors, if desired, by pressing the
UNLOCK
button for a second time.
The output will provide a 1-sec negative output when the
UNLOCK
button is pressed a second time on the Transmitter.
This can be used not only as Priority Door Access, but also as Trunk release.
To install Priority Door Access on 2-relay OEM systems, follow the diagram below:
(-) Priority UNLOCK wire
The OEM
UNLOCK
wire at the actuator of the driver’s Door must be cut in half, and a relay must be installed.
Note
The relay must be activated with the green (–) Unlock output from the remote Starter, and the Priority Door wire (
AUX
) from the Module must be
connected to the OEM negative Unlock wire before the Door Locks Switch in the vehicle.
Important
On vehicles that are factory-equipped with Priority Door Access, all the required relays are already installed on the vehicle (e.g.: Caravan). In these
cases the vehicle will have three OEM relays for Door Locks: one relay will
UNLOCK
only the driver’s Door, the second will
UNLOCK
all the other Doors and
the third will
LOCK
all Doors.
To connect the Module to this type of systems, you must identify the relays, locate the trigger pins (pin 85 or 86) and connect the green Unlock output
from the remote Starter to the OEM driver’s-Door Unlock relay, and the Priority Door output (
AUX
) from the Starter to the second Unlock relay.
The
AUX 2
Timed Output
(Mode 3, Function 3.)
This 500 mA negative
AUX 2
output can be used for many different applications. It can be
programmed for Priority Door Access if
AUX 1
is programmed for Horn confirmation.
To activate the
AUX 2
output, press the
LOCK
and
UNLOCK
buttons simultaneously.
The following diagrams show how to use this output for
Headlight illumination
or
remote Dome Light supervision
.
