Mounting the Device on the Wall / Ceiling
1. Using the enclosed drilling templates, mark the positions for the drilling holes of the individual
devices (base station
Page 88 , repeater Page 90 , directional antenna on the back of the
outer package).
2. Make sure that there are no supply lines or cables installed in the marked areas.
3. Drill the mounting holes with a diameter of 6 mm and insert dowels into the holes.
Note: The mounting material (screws and dowels) is included in the scope of
delivery.
4. Base station: Screw in the screws far enough so that the screw head is about 7 mm away
from the wall. Insert the connection cable to the PBX directly underneath the RJ-45 plug into
the designated bracket at the back of the base station. Mount the base station, and then slide
it on the wall downward until the screws hit the stopper. Repeater: Screw in the screws far
enough so that the screw head is about 2 mm away from the wall. Insert the power plug cable
directly underneath the RJ-45 plug into the designated bracket at the back of the repeater.
Mount the repeater, and then slide it on the wall downward until the screws hit the stopper.
Directional antenna: Screw the wall holding of the directional antenna to the wall. Insert the
antenna pins into the designated holes of the wall holding. Gently push the antenna
downward until it clicks into place.
Setting up the SMS Functionality
COMfortel DECT 900/900C support the transmission and reception of SMS messages over the land-
line network. This function allows users to send text messages to other SMS-capable end devices in
the landline network (e. g. specially equipped telephones) and to cell phones within the GSM net-
work.
Requirements:
– CLIP feature (transmission and display of the caller's telephone number) enabled by network pro-
vider
– All handsets registered with a base station have identical setting under Direct Exchange Line
Telephone (all turned on or off).
