AT8688 / AT8688S
ANTI-SHOCK MICROPHONE STAND
- Heavy die-cast construction and non-slip bottom pads minimize
coupling of surface vibration to the unit.
- Low-profile design with low-reflectance black finish for minimum
visibility.
- The improved tighter microphone socket for reduce the swing of
the microphone.
There are two models for application - AT8688 / AT8688S. Combin-
ing technical and artistic features in the design, the microphone
stands find their various applications in the field of broadcast and
communications.
The two models come with a low reflectance, matte-black finish.
The AT8688 features a 3-pin XLRF type receptacle on the input port
and 3-pin XLRM type receptacle on the output port. Both recepta-
cles are gold-plated finish. The AT8688S also features a phantom-
powered mute switch with a LED indicator that meets stringent
audio transmission requirements and adapts to various types of
microphone.
MOUNTING / CONNECTIONS:
1. Insert a microphone into microphone stand while pressing the top
connector.
2. Connect XLRF-3 side of the cable to the stand and the other side
to your equipment.
3. To remove the microphone, pull out the microphone while
pressing the release tab of the XLRF circular connector of the
microphone stand.
Note that
the microphone stand could break and cause an injury if
it is dropped.

DESCRIPTION
These Audio-Technica anti-shock microphone stands effectively
isolate mounted microphones from impact vibration and
mechanical noise normally transmitted from the surface.
They are intended for use with microphones stood on lecterns,
pulpits, conference tables and similar surfaces. Ideal for use
with gooseneck microphones and other quick-mount type
microphones using industrial standard XLRM 3-pin type
connectors.
AT8688S OFF SWITCH
The AT8688S features a newly design press-on/press-off switch
circuit that controls the microphone, the mute attenuation level up to
64dB. The circuitry also operates a light in the switch, powered by
the 24-52V phantom source, to indicate when the mic is “on”.
