2. Mains operation
Since A4.14 contain it's own amplifiers it must be
connected to a mains outlet (6). Only the 230V ver-
sion is available in Europe.
Check that you have the right version. See the rear label.
Note! Do not connect to mains until all other connections are completed.
3. Automatic ON/OFF.
A4.14 is equipped with an automatic ON/OFF facil-
ity. When the system is connected to the mains the
green LED indicator (
7
) indicates STAND BY sta-
tus. When audio signal is sent to the system, it
activates automatically and the red LED indicator
(
8
) is lit. If there is no signal after about 5 minutes
the system automatically enters STAND BY mode
again. A4.14 is designed for continous STAND BY
operation. The power consumption in STAND BY
mode is less than 3 VA. If the system is not to be
used for some time (such as vacation trip)
disconnect the system by removing the power cord
from the mains outlet.
4. Amplifier connection
A4.14 can be connected to a preamplifier or to the
speaker outputs of a power amplifier.
On the rear of the A4.14 there is one RCA input
terminal (1) marked "IN". Connect the enclosed
RCA cable between the preamplifier pre-out
terminal and "IN" on A4.14.
5. Volume controll
The volume control (2) determines the sensitivity
of the A4.14. It determines how loud you can play
with a certain inut level. Check that this control is
set equally for both the speakers.
