2. 

To display special subtitles for the hearing impaired: 

 

This setting will provide special output sound for hearing-impaired individuals.  The 
special output is only available if included on the DVD disc being played. 
 
a. 

Select the Subtitle menu from the main Set-up menu.  Use the arrow bar to 
highlight the preferred subtitle. 

 

b. 

Press the SUBTITLE button on the remote control unit to set EXTENDED 
FREATURES to the ON position. 

 

c. 

Press ENTER to exit the Subtitle menu. 

 

3. 

To set the default subtitle language in playback mode: 

 

a. 

Press the SUBTITLE button during playback.  A one-line subtitle setting will 
appear for about three (3) seconds.  The following message is displayed from left 
to right: (Refer to the appendix of this publication for a list of languages).
