The whole sample compartment consists of the following items (Figure 4.21):

An insulating ceramic base plate with the heating plate and a cable for connecting to the heater port. The

bottom of the ceramic base plate is made so that it fits perfectly on the sample stage of Theta.

Environmental chamber (made of aluminium) with glass windows and a lid with a hole for the needle.

There is also one hole for the temperature sensor near one of the windows.

A insulating ceramic lid with a corresponding hole for the needle as in the environmental chamber, and

jackets for the windows.
