4.1. OpERATINg INSTRUCTIONS

A. bATTERY INSTAllATION

CAUTION

To protect the image intensifier, keep the lens cap on the objec-

tive lens when the monocular is not in use or when checked

out in daylight conditions.
NOTE

At operating temperatures below –20°C (–4°F), alkaline

batteries are not recommended, as operating life will be

severely reduced. Lithium-iron disulfide 1.5V AA batteries or

equivalent should be used below –20°C (–4°F).
