THE  ELECTROLYTE  CONTAINED  IN  THE  BATTERIES  IS  EXTREMELY  CORROSIVE.
AVOID  ALL  CONTACT  WITH  CLOTHING,  SKIN  AND  EYES.  IN  CASE  OF  CONTACT,
IMMEDIATELY FLUSH THE AFFECTED AREA WITH CLEAN WATER.

7.5. BATTERY

The battery must be maintained fully
charged to ensure the engine starts in all
circumstances.

- Remove all traces of salt which may form

on the battery terminals.

- Check the electrolyte level in the battery

elements.

- If the electrolyte overflows, immediately rinse

the metal surfaces contacted with clean
water.

- Regularly check the charge level by

measuring the electrolyte density.

Charging the battery

- Use a 12-Volt charger adapted to the battery capacity.

- Avoid quick charging to ensure maximum battery service life.

- The battery should only be charged in a well-ventilated area.

Disconnection - Connection of the battery

To avoid all risk of short circuit:

1- Disconnect the Negative terminal

(-) before the Positive terminal (+)

2- Reconnect the Positive terminal

(+) before the Negative terminal (-)

•

Extended storage

- If the machine must be stored for an

extended period, it is best to remove the
battery and store it in a clean and dry
area, away from freezing temperatures.

- If the battery voltage in an open circuit

is less than 12.40 volts, recharge the
battery.

- Check the electrolyte level and recharge

the battery every two months.
