5.5 Ventilation system
The Xenotest
®
150 S+ air-cooled. The cooling system is fed
by two separate air streams:
• Lamp cooling
• Test chamber cooling
Lamp cooling, Fig. 13:
The cooling air for the lamp cooling is drawn in by a fan th-
rough the vent slots

on the right side of the instrument.
The air stream flows through the assembly shaft on the right
side, cooling the electronic components first. The air is then
guided through the exterior cylinder

of the lamp unit to
cool the xenon lamp.
The heated air exits through the vent openings on the top of
the instrument

where it is either removed by a technical
ventilation system that prevents back-pressure or vented di-
rectly into the open.

continuously measured by the integral sensor system

The used air

is exhausted through the air outlet opening

in the front left-hand area of the test chamber and, toge-
ther with the cooling air for lamp cooling, is either removed
by a technical ventilation system or vented directly into the
open.
