WARNING Explosives and explosive gases,
explosion hazard
If the product comes into contact with explosives,
an explosion could occur. Explosions can lead to
serious injuries or death.
Sparks can fly when operating the product, these
can detonate highly flammable dusts and gases and
lead to fire or explosions.

circuits or other electrical power sources, there is a
risk of serious injury or death.

WARNING Dust hazard
Some dust, fumes or other airborne material created
by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling and
other constructions activities contains chemicals
known to the State of California to cause cancer and
birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some ex-
amples of such chemicals are:
Crystalline silica and cement and other masonry
products.
Arsenic and chromium from chemically-treated
rubber.
Lead from lead based paints.

To reduce your exposure to these chemicals, work
in a well ventilated area, and work with approved
safety equipment, such as dust masks that are
specially designed to filter out microscopic
particles

Avoid inhaling dust or handling debris from the
work process which can be harmful to your health
►
Use dust extraction e.g. spot suction equipment
and wear respiratory protective equipment when
working with materials which produce airborne
particles
►
Potentially explosive atmospheres can be caused
by dust and fumes resulting from sanding or
grinding. Always use dust extraction or suppres-
sion systems which are suitable for the material
being processed

WARNING Projectiles
During power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling
and other construction activities sparks, chips, wheel
fragments or other particles may turn into projectiles
and cause bodily injury by hitting the operator or
other persons.
Even small projectiles can injure your eyes and
cause blindness.

Always wear impact-resistant eye and face protec-
tion when engaging in or working near the opera-
tion, repair or maintenance of the tool or changing
accessories on the tool

Use barriers to protect others from wheel frag-
ments and grinding sparks
►
Check that all others in the area are wearing im-
pact-resistant eye and face protection

WARNING Noise hazard
High sound levels may cause permanent hearing loss.

Use hearing protection in accordance with occu-
pational health and safety regulations

WARNING Vibration hazard
Exposure to vibration can damage the nerves and
disable the blood supply of the hands and arms.

Repetitive work motions, awkward positions and
exposure to vibration can be harmful to hands and
arms. If numbness, tingling, pain or whitening of
the skin occurs, stop using the tool and consult a
physician

Insert tools with a bent shank should not be used
►
Use vibration dampened tools when available
►
Minimize time of exposure to vibration
General information
Design and function
This die grinder is intended for mounted wheels and
rotary burrs only. This model is lubricated. The ma-
chine, its attachments and accessories must only be
used for the purpose for which they were designated,
all other use is prohibited.
• Never use grinding wheels attached with an ad-
apter as this machine is not fitted with a wheel
guard
• Never attach circular saw blades or other cutters
than the abrasive wheels or brushes specified for
the tool
Signs and stickers
The machine is fitted with signs and stickers contain-
ing important information about personal safety and
machine maintenance. The signs and stickers shall
