Planning the Installation

Requirements

Prepare the following before installing the VE2812R unit:

1 HDMI display device

1 Cat 5e/6/6a or ATEN 2L-2910 Cat 6 cable

Considerations

To ensure video quality, use a Cat 5e/6/6a cable.

Note:

For best results, ATEN recommends using the ATEN 2L-2910 Cat 6 

cable.

The maximum transmission distance varies at different parts of the 

transmission:

The VE2812R is designed to work with VE2812T / VE2812EUT / VE2812UST, 
and also compatible with a wide range of ATEN video splitters, video switches,
