Choose a location for the answering
system near a modular telephone jack and
a standard electrical outlet not controlled
by a wall switch.
NOTE:
If you do not want to connect a
telephone, skip
Step 2
.

Connect the
power cord.

Turn System On/Off
Before proceeding to set up features,
press
O
to turn the system on. To
turn the system off, press
O
again.
When the system is off, the indicator
above the PLAY/STOP button is off and
the Message Window is blank.

If the Message Window is blank
make sure the power cord is securely
connected to both the answering system
and an electrical outlet not controlled
by a wall switch. Press
O
to make
sure the system is on.
