Installing ASUS PIKE 1064E/1078
RAID module
The ASUS PIKE RAID module allows users to create RAID function from SAS hard
disk drives connected to the SAS connectors on the motherboard.

1. Remove the SATA cables connected on the SATA connectors.
2. Insert the PIKE RAID card into the PIKE RAID card slot.
3. Connect the SAS cables to the SAS connectors on
the motherboard and SATAII/SAS backplane board*.
4. Install the iButton (for PIKE 1078 only)**.
* Ensure that the bootable hard disk drive is connected to the
SATA/SAS1 connectors.
** Ensure that the jumper caps are placed on pins 1–2 of the IBTN_SEL1 jumper.
