6. ME Lock jumper

This jumper is used to lock the Intel

®

Management Engine (IME). When

the Intel

®

ME is locked, no changes can be made to the Intel

®

ME. This

jumper should only be set to ME Unlock when there is an important

update available from Intel

®

.

IMPORTANT!

Setting this jumper to ME Unlock and changing the Intel®

ME without proper instructions may cause the BIOS to crash.

NOTE:

The default setting for this jumper is set to Me Lock with a

jumper cap attached.
