Warning!
Diminished fire protection function may result in life-threatening danger, risk
of injury and property damage:
Fire doors prevent fire from spreading and are
tested as a complete unit with accessories:
∙ regulations established by inspection authorities must be complied with,
∙ the certification of the door must match the lock,
∙ the door manufacturer must be consulted if the lock is to be replaced and a dif-
ferent model is used or a lock is to be retrofitted,
∙ the door manufacturer’s specifications must be observed,
∙ the installed lock must be of the appropriate size.
Attention!
Property damage from work on the door leaf:
The lock must be removed for
any work on the door leaf, such as drilling or cutting.
Property damage from opening the lock:
Open the lock will damage it and void
the warranty (“Warranty”, page 29).
Property damage from painting:
Do not paint the lock or striking plate, or coat
either with other substances.
