into the lock. Do not use resinous greases.

 recommends that maintenance be executed via maintenance contract by an 

authorised specialist company to ensure that the following points are fulfilled.

Escape route doors must be inspected for reliable function at intervals of no more than one month.

 · Inspect and operate all functions of the lock to ensure that all parts of the locking mechanism (lock and 

strike plate) function reliably.

 · Check that all parts of the locking mechanism are clean to prevent clogging and obstruction.
 · Fire doors must not be altered after installation. Check that no additional locking devices have been 

added.

 · Check that all components of the system still comply with the list of approved components originally 

supplied with the system.

 · Check that all control element are securely installed.
 · Measure the actuation forces for releasing the escape route door locking mechanism using a force 

gauge and log the results. Check whether the actuation forces for releasing the escape route door lock-
ing mechanism have changed significantly since initial installation.

If any of the results are unsatisfactory, please contact your specialist dealer or tradesperson.
