Navigating the Control Interfaces
There are two interface options for command and control of your TeleBoss. The
(Command Processor) is used most frequently to control the TeleBoss. The Command Line Interface can be
reach via Serial, Telnet or SSH interface options. Some specific FTP and serial commands and advanced
debugging or control functions can only be accomplished via the Command Line Interface.
is an intuitive GUI interface that can be used for routine control and maintenance of your
unit via HTTP or HTTPS using up to date versions of Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer. Simply type the
configured IP address into the browser navigation and you will be presented with a log in page,

to use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). Commands and
Serial Data cannot be entered or viewed via the Web Interface.
Command Line Interface (CLI)
The Command Line Interface, also referred to as the Command Processor, is a text based interface. Specific
commands can be entered to control the unit and access connected devices.
The Command Line Interface can be accessed via Telnet, SSH or serially via IO2. See the Accessing the
section for instructions on accessing the TeleBoss via Telnet or the
for instructions on accessing the unit using I/O2.
This interface is command based. You can give instructions to the unit using specific text commands. Unless
overridden by your terminal emulator, local echo is enabled by default. This means that you will be able to see
commands as you type them. There is a section of the manual which covers all available commands,
The CLI has structured menus and submenus to set up automatic functions. Most of the elements you will
interact with will be under the setup menu which you reach by typing
SETUP
. To select a menu item enter the
corresponding letter next to the item. You will be immediately taken to that items configuration menu. Use
<Enter> or <Esc> to go back a level, or <Ctrl+C> to return directly to the command prompt. See the
section for additional instructions on using this menu system.
CLI Status Pages
The TeleBoss status pages are informational displays. Most of the information that a user would need to know
about the unit is displayed on these screens. This section outlines the different status screens, how to display
them and defines the displayed fields.
General Status
You reach this status screen by typing
STATUS
or
?
at the command prompt followed by <Enter>.
