Preparation for remote message retrieval

Dial an MSN that has been assigned to the answering machine.
You hear the announcement assigned to that MSN.
After the signal tone:

Enter the PIN code.
The ”Remote retrieval Help” is replayed (if one exists).
All new messages (of all the MSNs) are replayed.

If no messages are replayed no messages that have not yet been retrieved exist on your answe-
ring machine.
Subsequently you can enter the required identification digits in order to perform the desired func-
tions (see paragraph below).

To enter your PIN code more quickly you can interrupt the announcement:

Press to interrupt the announcement.

Enter the PIN code.

After three incorrect attempts to enter the PIN code (or after 1 minute), the connection is termi-
nated. The telephone number under which the incorrect PIN code was entered is registered in
the caller list and can thus be identified.

To speed up the process you can interrupt the ”Remote retrieval help”.

Enabling remote message retrieval for VIPs
You can define specific numbers for remote retrieval of messages without entering a PIN code
(VIP remote message retrieval).

Go to the submenu Main menu /answering machine/
VIP remote retrieval .

Press the Display key at the MSN to be designated for VIP remote
message retrieval.

Enter the relevant telephone number.

Save.

The numbers defined for VIP access are irrespective of VIP register entries.
