OPERATION
4.1
OPERATING THE SYSTEM
If the machine has been properly connected, the following instructions must be obser-
ved in order to ensure proper operation:
• Position the
ASCOJET
at a dry location and engage the brakes on the front wheels.
WARNING
Before operating the
ASCOJET
, all covers (side panel left and right) as well as
the safety grill of the dry ice hopper have to be closed and securely fastened.
4.2
FILLING DRY ICE
WARNING
Risk of cold burns. Dry ice has a temperature of -110.2 °F (-79 °C). Never touch
dry ice or cold parts of the machine without appropriate protection. Wear protec-
tive gloves and protective overalls.
• Open the cover of the dry ice hopper.
• Check the dry ice hopper for presence of foreign particles and condensate, remove
them if found.
• Fill dry ice pellets into the hopper.
WARNING
Risk of damaging the device. Use only dry ice pellets as blasting media. The
use of any other blasting agent will lead to loss of warranty coverage.
• Close the cover of the dry ice hopper.
