Video Signal Outputs
The video image from the CCU is transmitted out of the CCU from a number of ports.
Two DisplayPort outputs for UHD4K (3840x2160) images
Two DVI outputs for HD (1920x1080) images
Four 3G-SDI outputs for HD (1920x1080) images
Two 10GbE Fiber outputs for UHD4K (two SFP+ fibers) (for Matrix-enabled

model only)
Matrix CCU Option
Video output over 10GbE fiber cable, directly to a compatible monitor or through a 10G
fiber switch, is provided with the AR-3200-0020 Synergy
UHD4
CCU with Matrix model.
Two 10GbE fiber cables and SFP+ modules are required to send 4K images.
The 4K video image originates from the m
otherboard’s FPGA and is sent to the “Matrix”
card over DisplayPort SST (single stream transport). A 1080p format image is sent to the
card over DVI.
Compatible 4K monitors are available with direct 10GbE fiber connections.
The Matrix option consists of an additional daughter card installed on the CCU’s
motherboard.

MOTHERBOARD
The CCU motherboard forms a hub of connectivity and control for the entire system.
Power
The 12V power supplied to the motherboard is switched on and off in response to
the front panel push button. It is then regulated and distributed further.
Video Signal Input
The video signal from the camera head is relayed to the motherboard through the
isolation board. For the 4K/UHD4 camera head three signals are received. Each of these
inputs originates from the three (Red, Green & Blue) image sensors within the head. The
HD camera head only provides a single video stream of data from the single image
sensor.

ISOLATION BOARD
Patient safety is provided by an isolation barrier within the CCU. In the event that a
patient or camera head inadvertently becomes electrically energized, the CCU will not
provide a path to ground. In the event that the patient becomes grounded, the CCU will
not induce unsafe leakage currents to that ground.
Power
The isolation board provides isolated power for its circuitry and the camera head.
Control
Communication with the remaining camera circuitry is isolated through data transformers
and high voltage optical isolators. These signals also provide synchronization and control
of the camera head, as well as remote camera head FPGA programming.
