2.5 Operation
2.5.1 Turning on
2.5.1.1 After successful power-up and downloading, you should configure the
connections and functions of the TOP-PAD-IP2 by means of network administrator’s PC, on
which the “IPN2 system configuration software” RU.RMLT.00041-01 IPN Config Tool is
installed.
Note − In addition to IPN Config Tool software, the TOP-PAD-IP2 can be configured
by means of the embedded WEB interface which can also be used to update the software,
download and save configuration files.
During production, each TOP-PAD-IP2 is assigned the same IP address in the default
mode: 192.168.100.10, subnet mask: 255.255.255.0. Since devices with the same IP addresses
are not allowed on the same network the network addresses for each TOP-PAD-IP2 should
be set up before connecting to the public network using IPN Config Tool.
2.5.1.2 When working in IPN system, TOP-PAD-IP2 Desktop intercom station can be
used as intended in different modes, for example, in simplex mode, in communication mode
with telephone system based on SIP, when establishing communication session using Wi-Fi.
The Virtual Direct call (FK) of TOP-PAD-IP2 can be configured by means of network
administrator's PC depending on the type of protocol used (“Armtel-IP” or SIP), for
implementing various communication scenarios, for example, “Direct call to the Subscriber”,
“Conference”, “Selector”, “Circular”, “Relay”, etc.
If TOP-PAD-IP2 is complete with TOP-HS-IP2 Handset unit and enabling the «Phone»
option, with virtual keys of direct calls is substituted for 12 keys («0…9», «*», «#») panel of
the standard dialer as well as for call keys and clear keys.
In the process of a call, transfer or receipt of messages the display virtual keys and
information panel icons, depending on the functions setting in the program can signal about
the communication organization results by a constant glow or blinking (see Appendix F ).
2.5.1.3 After connecting to IPN system, the automatic initialization of TOP-PAD-IP2 is
performed. The initialization process takes from 30 seconds to three minutes. A three-time
flashing of all the FKs shows the readiness of TOP-PAD-IP2 for work.
Before starting up TOP-PAD-IP2, data with initial settings is transferred to it. Data
transmission is carried out under the control of IPN system software within the initialization
cycle through the interface. Initialization data includes the assignment of virtual keys and
the initial settings.
