Nurse call
Ensure that the bed is connected to the hospital nurse call
system – refer to Chapter 3.
Press the
Nurse Call
key to request assistance. The
indicator above the key will light to confirm operation.
At the nurse’s station, the call location will be displayed
and an audible alert will sound.
Models 8700,
8800, 9700 &
9800 only
After the call is acknowledged, the indicator below the
Nurse Call
key will light to reassure the patient that their
request has been received.
When the indicator below the
Nurse Call
key is lit, a
microphone/loudspeaker in each head end side rail allows
voice communication between the patient and caregiver.
All models
To cancel nurse call:
Reset procedures vary from one nurse call system to
another. Refer to the manufacturer’s instructions for use.
WARNING
The nurse call function should be checked periodically for
correct operation; as a minimum, ArjoHuntleigh recommends
that this should be done before each new patient uses the bed
and whenever the nurse call cable has been disconnected.
Failure to carry out this check may result in alarms not being
indicated at the nurse’s station.
