Operation start
To fill the system
Before starting up, a closed system must be filled up to a water pressure of 0.1 bar
higher than the static pressure = the height difference between the highest radiator
and the expansion chamber.
Example:
Highest level 5 m = 0.5 bar + 0.1 = 0.6, which gives a manometer pressure of 0.6
bar at cold boiler.
Systems with open expansion chambers are filled until water flows out the overflow
pipe.
Pellet burner
Burner settings and maintenance are described in detail on the following pages.
Flue gas temperature is choosen by means of the burner output with regard to
chimney’s design and condition.
As a start value, set the fuel feeding (pot 1) so that the screw turns approx. a half
revolution (KMP standard screw 1.7 or 2.3 m). The fan (pot 3) can be set between
150 and 180 VAC.
Switch
The UNO boilers 6 and 9 kW are equipped with a switch on the switchboard panel.
In position ”1” the heating cartridge is powered and controlled by the thermostat,
in position ”0” the heating cartridge is switched off.
The pellet burner is switched on and off by the switch on the burner’s panel behind
the front doors. The burner starts and stops automatically in position ”1”.
The output is also automatically controlled in this position.
Thermostats
It is recommended to adjust the burner thermostat to switch off at a boiler
temperature of 80 - 85˚C. The electrical thermostat is set 20 - 30˚C lower to make
electrial heating start in case of an unintential burner breakdown but not to switch
on at normal operation.
