Using The Ovens

Practical Cooking Tips

A temperature value can be set for all cooking
modes between 60°C and Max, except for the
following:

• GRILL: recommended: set only to Max power level.
• GRATIN: recommended: do not exceed 200°C.

Do not place racks in positions 1 or 5 during fan
assisted cooking. Excessive direct heat can burn
temperature sensitive foods.

Cooking On Multiple Levels

Use positions 2 and 4, placing the food that requires
more heat in position 2.
Place the dripping pan on the bottom and the rack
on top.

Grill

When using the grill cooking mode, place the rack in
position 5, and the dripping pan in position 1 to
collect cooking residue.
When using gratin mode, place the rack in position 2
or 3 and the drip pan in position 1.
We recommend that the power level is set to
maximum when grilling. The top element is regulated
by a thermostat and may not always operate
continuously.
The Grill and GRATIN cooking modes must be used
with the oven door shut.

Pizza Mode

Use a light aluminium pizza pan. Place it on the rack
provided. For a crispy crust, do not use the dripping
pan as it prevents the crust from forming by
extending the cooking time.
If the pizza has a lot of topping, we recommend
adding mozzarella cheese on top half way through
the cooking process.

Safety Requirements For Deep Fat Frying

• Never fill chip pans more than one third full with oil

or fat.

• Never leave oil or fat unattended during the

heating or cooling period.

• Never heat fat or fry with a lid on the pan.
• Always dry food thoroughly before frying, and

lower it slowly into the hot oil or fat. Frozen foods
in particular will cause frothing and spitting if
added too quickly.

• Always keep the outside of the pan clean and free

from streaks of oil or fat.

How To Deal With A Fat Fire

• Do not move the pan.
• Turn off the hotplate burners.
• Smother the flames with a fire blanket or damp

cloth to extinguish the fire. Do not use water or a
fire extinguisher as the force of it may spread the
burning fat or oil over the edge of the pan.

• Leave the pan for at least 60 minutes before

moving it.
