From the front of seat, you will 
need to loosen the harness 
straps by pushing the harness 
adjustment button and pulling 
the harness straps toward you. 
This will allow the headrest to 
slide up the seat.

Rotate handle out of the 
way and place child in 
carrier. Place your child 
in the carrier with their 
bottom pushed back and 
their back flat against the seat.  

Improper placement of the harness straps and buckle strap 
increases the risk of serious injury or death in a sudden stop or 
vehicle crash.

Depending on whether you have a smaller or larger size child, 
you will need to adjust the headrest, infant body support, buckle 
strap and waist strap locations. Please review the following  
sections on pages 55-65 before changing any strap positions.
