START UP

Connect the motor to the grid (220v A/C). (READ THE SAFETY INSTRUC-
TIONS).

Thread the arm onto the motor without connecting the scissors (left-hand
thread).

Start the motor by pushing the green switch and then pull on the cord.

Connect the scissors, pushing towards the inside of the arm.

Before starting to shear, carefully read the Instruction Manual for the Scis-
sors.

Stop the motor by pulling on the cord again.

To remove the scissors from the arm: push towards the inside, turn half a
circle anticlockwise and pull outwards.

After completing the shearing, disconnect the motor from the grid.

This machine has three speeds (2,800, 3,200 and 3,400 r.p.m.); the most
suitable speed is dependent on the conditions of the livestock and the ability
of the shearer.
Change speed by removing the protective guard and adjusting the position
of the belt (no tools needed), checking the belt is perfectly aligned between
the two pulleys.
Put the protective guard in place.
This action must be undertaken with the motor disconnected from the grid.
