WingStruts

Inordertomaintainthecorrectincidenceandotheranglesforthewingsit’scriticalthatthe
two‘shorter’wingstrutsareinstalledneartheleadingedgesofthewingsandthatthetwo
‘longer’strutsareinstallednearthetrailingedges.

Also,ensurethewingstrutsarerotatedsothey’reparalleltotheforwardflightpathofthe
airplaneinordertoreducedrag.Insomecasesthestrutscanrotateoutofpositionduring
handlingorimpactssowerecommendcheckingtheirpositionbeforeeachflyingsessionand
afteranycrashesorhardlandings.

Spinner

Therubberspinnerprotectsobjectsfromthetipofthepropellershaftintheunfortunate
eventofcontactandalsoprotectsthepropeller,shaft,gearboxandairframebyabsorbing
impacts.Ifthespinnerevercomesloose,orwhenreplacingthepropellerwithanewone,be
suretoALWAYSreinstallthespinnerbeforethenextflight.Mostglueswillnotworkwellfor
securingthespinnersowesuggestusingsilicone,shoegoooranyothersuitableadhesiveto
attachthespinnertothesidesofthepropellerhub.Also,besurethespinnerisaligned
properlybeforetheadhesivesets/driesforsmooth,vibrationfreeperformance.

ThemajorairframepartsoftheTigerMoth75aremoldedfromlightweightanddurableEPS
foam.Mostdamagecanberepairedusingtransparenttapeand/orOdorless,alsoknownas
‘FoamSafe’,Cyanoacrylate(CA)glue.WerecommendMedium/GapFillingformostrepairs,
thoughThincanalsobeusedforsomeothers.Also,ifyouuseAccelerator,itmustbeFoam
SafeandcompatiblewithyourchosenCAglue(someincompatibleacceleratorswilldamage
thefoam!).

Andintheunfortunateeventthatanypartcannotberepaired,theuniqueairframedesignof
theTigerMoth75assembleswithmagnetsandinterlockingpartstomakereplacingparts
