dimensionsofatleast15feetby15fefoothighceilings.TheTigerMoth75can
alsobeflowninlargerindoorspacesorevenoutdoorsincalmtolightwindconditions.

Andwhetheryou’realowtimeorexperiencedpilotwestronglyrecommendthatyoumake
yourfirstflightsinalargerindoorspace(suchasabasketballgymorwarehouse)or
outdoorsincalm(nowind)conditionsuntilyouarefamiliarwiththehandling/capabilities
ofthemodelANDit’sproperlytrimmed.Also,ifyouarealowtimepilotwehighly
recommendallowingamoreexperiencedpilottotestflyandproperlytrimthemodel
beforeattemptingyourfirstflight.Aprovenflyableandproperlytrimmedmodelis
significantlyeasierandmoreenjoyabletofly!


Whenyou’rereadytomakeyourfirstflightsyou’llwanttoselectasuitableopenareafreeof
peopleandobstructions.Andafteryou’veproperlytrimmedtheairplaneandbecome
familiarwithitshandling/capabilitiesyou’llbeabletoflyinsmallerandlessopenareas.




Nowthatyou’veselectedasuitableflyingareayou’rereadytofly!Andwhenmakingyour
firstflightswesuggestfollowingthesesteps:

TherearetwowaystogettheTigerMoth75intotheair.Thefirst,andoursuggested
methodforatleastthefirstfewflights,istohandlaunchthemodel.Thisiseasyto
accomplishbyholdingthefuselageofthemodel(justbehindthewing)betweenyour
indexand/ormiddlefingerandthumbwiththewingsandnoselevel(relativetothe
horizonandtheground).Then,raisethelefthand/throttlesticktoapproximatelythe
middle/halfthrottleposition(themodelwilltypicallyclimbslowlyormaintainaltitude
atthisstickposition/throttlesetting)andgently‘push’themodelforward.The
airplanewillbeflyingalmostimmediatelyafteritleavesyourhandallowingyouto
focusonusingtheruddertokeepthewingslevelwhileusingthrottleandelevatorto
maintainthedesiredaltitude.

ThesecondwaytogetthemodelintotheairistoperformaRiseOffGround(ROG)
takeofffromasmooth,levelsurface.

However,inordertoperformanROGtakeoff

yourchosenindoororoutdoorflyingareaMUSThaveasuitableamountofopen
space.
