✽
The machine has been designed for
domestic use only.
✽
Any modifications or attempts to alter
the equipment in any way may be dan-
gerous for the user and cause dam-
age to the washing machine.
✽
Due to the weight of the machine, spe-
cial safety standards must be observed
during manhandling.
✽
The machine must not be used by un-
supervised children.
✽
Any modifications to the water or elec-
trical system must be carried out by
authorised specialists.
✽
After installing the machine, make sure
that it is not standing on the power sup-
ply cable.
✽
Before operating the machine, remove
all packing materials and the locking
device used for protection during trans-
port (protection screws). Failure to do
this may result in serious damage to
the machine and to your home.
✽
If the machine is installed on a carpeted
floor, make sure that air is free to circu-
late between the machine and the floor.
✽
The washing machine must be con-
nected to a mains supply with an
earthed system complying with the
safety standards in force.
✽
At the end of every washing session,
the electric plug must be removed from
its socket and the water supply shut-
off.
✽
Never insert or remove the electric plug
with wet hands.
The washing machine must never be
overloaded.
✽
Only wash clothes that are machine
washable. In cases of doubt, check the
manufacturer’s instructions found on
the label attached to the clothes (see
“Clothing care symbols” pag. 6)
✽
Before loading clothes into the washing
machine, check that all the pockets are
empty. Hard or pointed objects such as
coins, pins, nails, screws or even stones
can cause serious damage.
✽
Clothes that have been dirtied with sub-
stances containing petroleum cannot
be washed in the machine. If stains
have been removed using vaporising
products, before loading the clothes in
the washing machine, wait until the
substances have completely evapo-
rated from the material.
✽
The washing machine door cannot be
opened until at least one minute after
the end of the washing cycle or after the
machine has been switched off.
✽
After washing rugs, blankets or any
other long fibre fabrics, remember to
check the filter and, if necessary, clean
it.
✽
If you plan to be away from home or if
the washing machine is not going to
be used for a long period of time, re-
move the plug from the socket and shut-
off the water supply. It is also advisable
to leave the washing machine door half-
open to allow air to circulate inside.
✽
Never expose the machine to the ac-
tion of atmospheric elements.
✽
Under no circumstances should any
repairs to the machine be attempted by
unqualified persons as this could re-
sult in serious damage and will invali-
date the guarantee.
✽
Repairs to the washing machine must
only be carried out persons authorised
to do so by the service centres. Only
original spare parts may be used for
repairs.
