comparable longer hex screws can be used as
needed. To the both sides the adapter plate is
attached with 8 pins (see picture). When drilling
adapter plates’ mounting holes to the truck’s frame
take notice of the vehicle manufacturer’s special
instructions of the allowed hole location on the
vehicle’s frame and also of actions, which may affect
to the duration of vehicle’s frame.
- Before installation, make sure that there is enough
space for the centre-mounted scraper (path of CMS’s
every moving part must be noticed), its fixing device
and hydraulics on the vehicles frame. In case other
road maintenance equipment are used together with
the centre-mounted scraper, the equipments’ and their
components’ paths must not overlap. For example
when using a side-mounted plough, a centre-mounted
scraper is installed; there should be at least 500 mm
between the rear wheel and the centre-mounted
scraper
(in transport position). Without other
equipment, there should always be at least 150 mm
between the rear wheel and the centre-mounted
scraper.
- The gab between centre-mounted scraper’s adapter
plates’ upper edges and ground surface should
always, regardless of the vehicle’s frame height, be
1080 mm - with boggie down. The adapter plates
should be installed lengthwise to the same level or so,
that the right plate is about 50 mm further back (check
according to the truck in question). This way the
transfer angles are equal (25
o
) when the rotary table is
in its extreme positions.
Centre-mounted scraper AM TEHO 5 installation stages:
1. With the help of space requirement picture (see the
next picture) measure and mark the space, which the
centre-mounted scraper needs on the vehicle’s frame.
The plan all the possible required and permitted
modifications
according to the constructor’s
instructions. You may have to change places of
components installed to the frame in the factory and
that’s why you have to know the allowed
modifications. For example when installing AM TEHO
5, the fuel tank transfer to the left side of the frame.
Apposed to that, the directional control valve, which is
needed for steering the centre-mounted scraper, is
welded to the back of the right adapter plate (see
picture, no. 6).
2. Transfer the centre-mounted scraper with its rotary
tables, excluding adapter plates, beneath the truck
with the help of a movable jack. Mark the place of the
adapter plates and table’s lugs. At this stage pay
attention to the centre-mounted scraper’s various
parts’ latitudes.
