Right-click “Unallocated” and select “New Simple Volume”. If a New Simple Volume option
is not available, initialize the disk first. To initialize a disk, please check “Initialize a Disk” at
next section for guidance.
Note: In Windows XP, you will probably find “New Partition” instead of “New Simple Volume”.
They are basically the same concept; these two terms can be used interchangeably.

The “New Simple Volume Wizard” will appear. Follow the instructions to complete the
partition.
