BIOS

The featured settings are:

Setting

Description

Bootup NumLock
State

Sets keyboard’s NumLock state when the system
boots up.

►

Options available are

(default) and

Off

Quiet Boot

Sets whether to display the POST (power on self
tests) messages or the system manufacturer’s full
screen logo during booting.

►

Select

Disabled

to display the normal POST

messages, which is the default setting.

Fast Boot

(Atom D2550 Only)

Enables/disables booting with the initialization of a
minimal set of devices required to launch active boot
options.

►

This setting has no effect on BBS (BIOS Boot

Specification), which is a plug and play BIOS

format that enables the system to boot from a
network device or a SCSI adapter for which BIOS
has no driver code.

Disabled

is the default.
