Check for obstructions in the area where rooftop air conditioner will be installed.
Before installing the air conditioner, please check or confirm with vehicle
manufacturer to make sure the roof is strong enough to bear the static weight
and moving loading of the air conditioner. The air conditioner manufacturer
accepts no liability for any damage.
Check inside the vehicle for air distribution box obstructions(i.e. door openings,
room dividers, curtains, ceiling fixtures, etc.). Please check the dimentions of the
rooftop air conditioner and the air distribution box. See FIG.03.
It is preferred that the unit be installed on a relatively flat and level roof section
measured with the vehicle parked on a level surface, but up to a 5° tilt is acceptable.
After location has been selected:
It is the responsibility of the designer to ensure the structural integrity of the
vehicle. Never create a low spot on the roof where water will collect. Water
standing around the rooftop air conditioner may leak into the interior causing
damage to the product and vehicle.
