When designing a waterfall, it is
IMPERATIVE
, if not
MANADATORY
, to install a waterproof membrane as shown in
the diagram at right. Why? To ensure that the water from the
waterfall flows into the spa instead of flowing out of the spa
and causing significant water loss.
Afterwards, you should consider that the use of a waterfall
creates a lot of water evaporation and that it will probably
result in a greater loss of water and heat.
Other important information
The use of masonry can cause limestone deposits on the spa
shell.
To avoid damaging the structure, do not place heavy stones
on the upper and outer edges of the spa.
Pay particular attention to the choice of plants you have
near the spa, as the loss of leaves, twigs or petals could
damage the pumping system and plumbing.
It is recommended that you use a cedar bark ground cover to
limit the amount of dust blown into the spa
.
