3. General
Please take the necessary precautions when transporting the pump. The thermal heat pump may not
be laid on its side. Avoid intermediate storage in a damp location or locations subject to signi
fi cant
temperature fl uctuations. The thermal heat pump is only suitable for heating swimming pool water.
The recommended limits of use are in a temperature range of +10 °C - +35 °C. Use outside the
temperature limits and for a purpose for which it is not intended will lead to voiding of the warranty and
could destroy the system.
When outdoor temperatures drop, the life of the
fi lter pump must be prolonged to compensate for the
missing heating capacity. The fi lter pump should run for at least 10 hours a day.
4. Installation
It is imperative that the system be installed outdoors.
The system must be bolted to a
fi rm base with the enclosed rubber buffers. Align it with a spirit level. The
base (concrete slab) must be high enough to prevent water getting into the bottom of the device. The height
must be adapted accordingly to the connection nozzle for collecting the condensate.
The thermal heat pump may not be mounted on an enclosed area. The fan would otherwise circulate the
hot air and the thermal heat pump would have a poorer performance. This would lead to a thermal short-
circuit.
The fan may not blow in the direction of windows or crossing points either.
The noise from the thermal heat pump must not disturb neighbours.
The safety distance between the swimming pool and the pathway must observe the standard C15- 100
section 702. The system may not be installed in area 1 around the swimming pool. You must choose at
least area 2, i.e. a minimum distance of 3 m from the swimming pool to the pathway. See the standard for a
de
fi nition of the areas.
The hydraulic connections must be made according to the valid standards.
The thermal heat pump is connected at the bypass, whereby the glued bolt connections must be connected
to the pipes. Connect the hardened bolt connections to the machine and tighten. If water leaks out, the
connection can be re-tightened gently with a pair of pliers. The lines should be laid as horizontal as possible
to the machine. Open the water valves after successful connection. Have the
fi lter pump running at the
same time so that the air can escape from the system.
Installation instructions:
• To avoid contamination, the unit should not be installed near to a busy road.
• Avoid blowing out against strong winds. Pay attention to the main wind direction.
• It must be possible to supervise the unit so that children cannot play around with the system.
