2) Carefully check area under the item for sharp or dangerous objects (i.e.
rocks or stumps).
3) Keep a safe distance from docks, boats, boat lifts, and any other structures.
DO NOT tie the product to a dock!
4) Anchors and anchor line are sold separately. We recommend at least 100
lbs. of weight for the Splashmat. Ground screws or heavier anchors (200
lbs. or more) should be used on large or windy bodies of water.
5) Attach anchor line securely to the anchor. Use a buoy tied to the other end
of the rope to easily locate your anchor.
6) When the product is in place, remove the buoy and tie or shackle the anchor
line to the anchor rings underneath the product. Allow AT LEAST several
feet of slack in the line before securing the line. This will allow the product
to move in wind or waves without displacing your anchor.
7) If strong winds or storms are expected, it is best to remove the product from
the water and deflate it. You can also move it closer to shore and secure it
with lines.
Operation
1) This item is a boarding platform and unstable walkway for water use. Users
climb aboard from the water and walk, or slide across the item.
2) When connecting multiple items, use only Aquaglide Interloc™ straps
and connecting rings according to the Interloc™ Strap instructions provided.
Make sure that the connection is tight and that there is NO GAP greater than
25mm (~3/4”) between items.
IMPORTANT: Failure to connect these items
properly may result in injury or death.
3) We strongly recommend maintaining supervision at all times during use by
a professionally certified lifeguard.
NEVER
use unattended.
4) Do not exceed the product’s recommended number of users or capacity.
5)
USE COMMON SENSE
. Never dive from the product. Be aware of the
additional risks involved in multiple users. Unexpected motion could cause a
loss of balance and injury.
6) Ensure that all swimmers have cleared the area before entering the water.
Never swim underneath the product.
7) The maximum weight capacity is 1000 lbs (454 Kg). It is acceptable to have
up to eight people on the product. IMPORTANT:
• Do not exceed product weight capacity of 1000lbs. (454 kg)
• Do not concentrate more than 300 lbs. (136 kg) in any one area.
• Do not use without adequate air pressure - 1.6 p.s.i. (0,110 bar)
minimum
8) If the product shows any signs of instability or appears to have lost air pres
-
sure, immediately discontinue use. Check and monitor moorings, air pressure
and air-holding ability. Do not continue use until these are confirmed.

Assembly
1) Locate a flat, dry area with access to electrical outlet or extension cord.
IMPORTANT:
Because of the size of the Splashmat, careful thought must
be given to the setup area. The best setup position will also make launching
easy, so ideally the Splashmat should be carefully carried into position at the
water’s edge.
NOTE:
Dragging or sliding the Splashmat over ground either
before or after inflation can cause damage.
2) Once in the setup/ launch position, unroll the Splashmat in position and
locate the valve. Remove valve cover and push valve plunger in. Twist the
valve stem 90 degrees to open or close the 1-Way valve feature.
NOTE: If the Splashmat is to be attached to another Aquapark item, we sug
-
gest attaching with the Splashmat deflated. Attach using Interloc rings (built
into the Splashmat) and 5 Interloc ™ straps (available as an aftermarket
option). See the Interloc instructions below for details.
3) Using a high output inflator/deflator (preferred) of 1.6 psi (0,110 bar) minimum,
place the inflation hose with proper adaptor into the valve.
Inflate to 2.0 psi
(0,138 bar) or until product is firm and tight.
Check for proper air pressure
using a manometer. Inflation times can vary by inflator, but the tube should
be firm and tight when completely inflated. In hot weather, be sure to leave
room for air expansion.
DO NOT OVER-FILL
. Close the valve and secure
valve cap.
WARNING:
Do not use an air compressor to inflate tube. Air compres
-
sors are designed for high pressure inflation and can cause damage to the
product if over-inflated.
NOTE:
It is also possible to attach the Splashmat after launch. In this case,
inflate the platform and have a swimmer attach from the water. Follow the
Interloc strap instructions below.
4)
To launch the product, make sure to have at least 4 people evenly spaced
around the product to help carry it.
NEVER DRAG THE SPLASH-
MAT! YOU MUST LIFT AND SET THE PRODUCT ON THE
WATER TO AVOID ANY ACCIDENTAL TEARING ON SHARP
OBJECTS.
The Splashmat can be used as a stand-alone platform or as an accessory and
sliding feature for your Aquapark.
Anchoring
NOTE: Take a moment to locate the accessory/ anchoring rings underneath your
Splashmat. Each Splashmat has 2 sets of 5 double-rings on the underside of
the product. Attach anchor line to at least 1 double-ring. We suggest using 2
double-rings for long term mooring or for areas with strong winds and larger
waves.
IMPORTANT
: Proper anchoring is essential to the safety and performance
of your product. Due to the wide variety of conditions, we advise using a
professional skilled in mooring and anchoring, and experienced with local
conditions. If improperly anchored, the product can move and/or float away.
Aquaglide, Inc. is not responsible for any damage, injuries or losses due to
improper anchoring.
Here are some general guidelines for anchoring your product. These guidelines
are not intended to replace the need for professional installation.
1) Choose a location for your Splashmat. Place the product in at least
4 ft.
(1,21m) of water depth
and in an area protected from the wind and boat
traffic. Review relevant rules and restrictions with your local authorities.
