3.1 Valve in "closed" position
The lower and upper valve shafts are closed by spring force and
safely separate the different fluids A and B. The leakage chamber
L
which is situated between the two valve shafts, provides for a free
and absolutely depressurized discharge to the bottom. The valve
shafts are balanced and, thus, safe against pressure hammers.
3.2 Valve in "open" position
By control of the actuator, the upper valve shaft is pressed against
the seal of the lower valve shaft. Thus, the leakage chamber
L is
closed against the product chamber.
Then the two valve shafts move downwards into the open position.
A connection between the two pipelines
A and B is produced.
