Note: Locking must be turned on for activation of your selected parameters. Refer to Locking 

Parental Control on page 134.

Accessing the Parental Control Menu

The following procedure is an overview of all the procedures covered in this chapter.

Note: The first time that you enter the Parental Control option, you see a display that tells you 

to first set up a PIN (shown on the left). Press the A button and a PIN entry dialog 
displays (shown at right). Using the keypad, enter a 4-digit number that you will use as 
your PIN. A confirmation displays, asking you to enter the PIN again to confirm it. Go 
to step 3.

To access the parental control option menu

1 From the Settings menu, select the Parental Control preference.

2 You see a display asking you to enter the 

parental control PIN. Enter the 4-digit PIN.
